ServiceNow is the enterprise IT cloud company. They transform IT by automating and managing IT service relationships across the global enterprise. Organizations deploy ServiceNow to create a single system of record for IT and automate manual tasks, standardize processes, and consolidate legacy systems. Using its extensible platform, customers create custom applications and evolve the IT service model to service domains inside and outside the enterprise.
Founded in 2003, ServiceNow is a platform-as-a-service provider of IT service management software. Developed by Fred Luddy – a specialist in ITSM – it was originally developed as the “Glide” platform. Luddy based the platform on the ITIL standards and brought three other developers onboard to help him build the platform.
ServiceNow’s main headquarters are located in Santa Clara but they have office locations throughout the United States and Europe. After becoming profitable in 2007 the company has attracted the likes of Intel, the University of San Francisco, Staples and TIAA-CREF.
In 2010, Triad Technology Partners joined up with ServiceNow. For the next two years, ServiceNow was named to the Wall Street Journal’s “Next Big Thing” list.
